Majorette Collector's Guide: Card Codes, Lines and Chase Cars
November 3, 2026
Short answer: a Majorette release is identified by the small code in the lower-left corner of the picture on the card front, like 231C-1. 231C is the casting (here the GMC Hummer EV) and -1 the version (the white 2023 Premium Cars release). Cards from 2019 to 2024 carry it; most of the redesigned cards from 2025 on do not, so newer cars are identified by name, colour, line and year. The long number on the back is a Simba assortment number shared by every car in the mix, not the car’s own number. Chase cars hide in the regular assortments in special finishes (Gold, Zamak, Chrome, Rainbow, Neon…) and since 2022 most carry the year in a circle on the car.
Majorette in brief
Majorette describes itself as dating back to 1960s France. It is part of the Simba Dickie Group today, and most of its cars are made in Thailand. A Majorette car is about 7.5 cm long and sold as “approx. 1:64”, so the true scale varies with the real car (the Majorette wiki lists the Hummer EV casting at 1:70). The signatures are the ones Majorette advertises itself: suspension and opening parts.
How to read a Majorette card
The card code (2019-2024). Look at the lower-left corner of the car picture on the front of the card. The code is three digits, a letter, a dash and a number: 231C-1. The first part is the casting; the number after the dash separates its versions. That matters because Majorette reuses castings constantly. The Hummer EV (231C) has eight releases in our catalog between 2023 and 2026: white Premium Cars, a Chrome chase, a Rainbow chase, green Pink Slips, purple Limited Edition 11, a matt dark green Showroom Deluxe, a matt black gift-pack car and a blue 2026 Showroom. The Volkswagen T1 (243A) has 35 since 2018.
What changed in 2025. The new cards (Showroom, for example) carry a METAL badge, a “moving parts” icon, the line name on the side and the model name in the corner, but no casting code. Premium Cars became Showroom Premium Cars, and the plain Deluxe line became Showroom Deluxe. For these cards the identity is model name + colour + line + year.
| Card | What to record | |
|---|---|---|
| GMC Hummer EV, white, Premium Cars 2023 | 231C-1 | |
| Ford F-150 Raptor, orange, Premium Cars 2023 | 201H-1 (the light blue Racing Cars version is 201H-3) | |
| BMW M3, green, Showroom 2025 | No code on the card: BMW M3, green, Showroom, 2025 |
Simba assortment numbers vs single-car codes
Flip the card and you will find a long article number and a barcode. Both belong to the assortment, the mix of cars shipped together, so every car in that mix carries the same ones. 212054034 is Limited Edition 10, six cars: Renault Clio 16S, Renault Megane R.S., Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Ford F-150 Raptor, Nissan GT-R and Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4. The number tells you which mix a car came from, not which car it is.
Shops, majorette.com included, list single cars with a suffix on the assortment number: 212053052Q37 is the white Hummer EV from the 212053052 Premium Cars assortment. From 2025 Majorette moved to ten-digit article numbers, such as 8501000000 for Street Cars and 8502000000 for Showroom Premium Cars.
For your records: the card code from the front if there is one; otherwise the casting, name, colour, line and year. The back number is worth noting only to know which assortment to look for.
The lines on the pegs in 2025-2026
From majorette.com’s current range, with the Limited Edition themes from the Majorette wiki:
- Street Cars. The entry line: diecast body, free-rolling wheels. The current single-card assortment has 18 models, and there are 5-packs and 12-piece value packs.
- Showroom Premium Cars (Premium Cars until 2024). Opening parts and suspension. The current assortment lists 10 possible models, one of them a named chase car, the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.
- Deluxe (Showroom Deluxe and the brand Deluxe lines). Metal body, rubber tires, suspension, opening parts, and a collector’s box.
- Brand and theme lines. JDM Legends, Mercedes-AMG, BMW, Porsche and Mini, plus Vintage Cars, Racing, Color Changers and CastHeads.
- Limited Edition. Numbered series, each with a theme: Zamak (5), Color Changers (6), Super Metallic (7), Camouflage (8), Black & Gold (9), Colour Trace (10), Graffiti (11) and Neon Racer (12). Each has a six-car assortment plus gift packs with extra cars you cannot get on a single card; the 9+4 packs add four.
- Collection. Majorette’s collector line: true 1:64, metal chassis, rubber tires and a clear stackable showcase, for classics from 1955 to 2005.
Gift packs deserve their own mention: 262 of the 1,445 Majorette releases in our catalog exist only in a gift pack.
Majorette chase cars
Majorette packs chase cars into the regular assortments, with a special edition for each line and year. The list below follows the Majorette Model Cars wiki.
| Example | Year | Line | Chase edition | How to spot it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Honda Civic Type R | 2020-2021 | Premium Cars | Gold Edition | Gold finish |
| Suzuki Swift Sport | 2021 | Street Cars | Zamak | Bare metal body |
| Chevrolet Camaro | 2022 | Premium Cars | Pink Gold | ”22” on a black circle |
| Hyundai i30 N | 2022 | Street Cars | Black & White | Black or white finish |
| GMC Hummer EV | 2023 | Premium Cars | Chrome | ”23” on a black circle |
| Jeep Wrangler Rubicon | 2023 | Street Cars | Glitter Effect | ”23” on a white circle |
| Toyota GR Supra | 2024 | Premium Cars | Rainbow | Oil-slick paint, “24” on a white circle |
| Ford Focus ST | 2024 | Street Cars | Matt Metalized | ”24” on a white circle |
| Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) | 2024-2025 | Japan Series, JDM Legends | Japan Series chase | Special colour |
| Lamborghini Urus | 2025 | Showroom Premium Cars | Neon Edition | ”25” on a black circle |
| Audi R8 Coupé | 2025 | Street Cars | 2025 Chase Car | Matt colour, “25” on the sides |
| Toyota GR Yaris | 2026 | Showroom Premium Cars | 2026 chase | Brilliant colour, “26” circle on the sides |
Two practical points. A chase is a casting from the same assortment in a special finish, so look at the car itself: the finish and the year mark. And check the card as well: the 2025 Street Cars chase in our catalog photos sits on a card with a “2025 CHASE CAR” badge. Hunt64’s catalog flags 50 chase releases from 2020 to 2026.
How many Majorette releases come out each year
Releases per year in Hunt64’s catalog, as of November 2026. “Premium tier” counts every single-card premium line (Premium/Showroom, Racing, Vintage and the brand editions); chases are counted inside their line and again in the last column.
| Year | Total | Premium tier | Deluxe | Street | Limited Edition | Gift pack only | Regional and special | Other | of which chase |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2018 | 122 | 49 | 2 | 23 | 18 | 20 | 10 | ||
| 2019 | 165 | 67 | 12 | 26 | 15 | 30 | 10 | 5 | |
| 2020 | 198 | 43 | 13 | 18 | 25 | 30 | 67 | 2 | 5 |
| 2021 | 175 | 45 | 16 | 26 | 20 | 17 | 49 | 2 | 6 |
| 2022 | 149 | 48 | 6 | 20 | 21 | 18 | 31 | 5 | 8 |
| 2023 | 147 | 42 | 8 | 18 | 17 | 13 | 47 | 2 | 8 |
| 2024 | 177 | 69 | 27 | 22 | 22 | 23 | 13 | 1 | 11 |
| 2025 | 207 | 94 | 24 | 19 | 1 | 22 | 23 | 24 | 9 |
| 2026 so far | 105 | 68 | 12 | 3 | 3 | 9 | 7 | 3 | 3 |
“Other” is Monster Rockerz trucks and the Collection line. The trend is clear: the premium tier keeps growing (94 releases in 2025, 68 already dated 2026), driven by the Showroom line and the brand editions. Be careful with the newest years, though. Our catalog is built from the community wiki, which is still filling in 2025 and 2026: majorette.com lists 18 models in the current Street Cars assortment, while our 2026 count has 3.
How to catalog Majorette
For each car, record:
- The card code if the card has one (231C-1), otherwise the casting if you know it.
- Model name, colour, line and year, which on 2025+ cards are the identity.
- Single card or gift pack, and which pack.
- Chase, with the edition (Chrome 2023, Neon 2025).
- What you paid.
The traps are the same ones Majorette’s reuse of castings creates: eight Hummer EVs in four years, Limited Edition and gift-pack exclusives that never hang on a peg, and 257 regional, retailer and special-series releases in our catalog (ParknShop, Pink Slips, Tune Ups, football club editions) that many checklists skip.
How Hunt64 handles Majorette
New in Hunt64 2.4, Majorette has its own catalog of 1,440+ releases from 2018 to 2026, built from the Majorette Model Cars wiki and majorette.com. The scanner reads the card code: the casting part (231C) narrows the catalog to that casting, and the name and colour on the card pick the release. On 2025 and later cards without a code, it reads the name and line instead. Chase releases are flagged, with a Chase shortcut in the catalog, search finds cars by casting code (231C), and batch adding (also new in 2.4) lets you shoot up to 30 cards back to back and confirm them afterwards. Majorette and Hot Wheels live in one collection, along with Matchbox, Mini GT and Kaido House. As of November 2026, 571 Hunt64 collectors keep 1,212 Majorette cars.
Where it falls short, plainly:
- 2018 onward only. Older Majorette is not in the catalog yet; add it by hand with a photo.
- Thinner for 2025 and 2026, Street Cars especially, until the wiki catches up. Missing cars can be added by hand.
- 19 releases still have no photo.
- Prices only where 5+ collectors contributed, which for Majorette is 9 releases so far.
- No desktop app and no PDF export (CSV export works on every plan). The free plan holds 100 cars, plus 50 for every friend who joins with your invite code; Pro is unlimited (US: $2.99/month or $19.99/year).
Get Hunt64 and update to 2.4 to see the new brands. For the other numbering systems on the same shelf, see our Mini GT and Kaido House guide and the Matchbox guide.
Frequently asked questions
What does the code on a Majorette card mean?
The small code in the lower-left corner of the picture on the card front, like 231C-1, identifies the release. 231C is the casting (the GMC Hummer EV) and -1 the version (the white 2023 Premium Cars release). Majorette reuses a casting many times, so the full code is what tells two releases of the same car apart.
Why is there no code on my 2025 Majorette card?
Majorette redesigned its cards in 2025, and most newer cards show only the model name and the line, with no casting code. For those, record the model name, colour, line and year. The Hunt64 scanner reads the name and line in that case.
How do I know if my Majorette is a chase car?
Chase cars are packed in the regular assortments in a special finish: Gold (2020-2021), Zamak and Black & White, Pink Gold, Chrome, Glitter Effect, Rainbow, Matt Metalized, Neon and more. Since 2022 most also carry the year in a circle on the car, like 23 on a black circle for the 2023 Chrome chases.
What is the difference between Majorette Street Cars, Premium and Deluxe?
Street Cars are the entry line: diecast body and free-rolling wheels. Premium Cars, called Showroom Premium Cars since 2025, add opening parts and suspension. Deluxe cars add rubber tires and come with a collector's box.
Is the number on the back of a Majorette card the car's number?
No. The long article number and barcode on the back belong to the assortment, the mix of cars shipped together, so every car in it shares them. 212054034, for example, covers all six cars of Limited Edition 10.
Can an app scan Majorette cars?
Yes. New in Hunt64 2.4, the scanner reads the card code (231C-1) or, on newer cards, the name and line, and matches it against a catalog of 1,440+ Majorette releases from 2018 to 2026, chase cars included.
